Happy Wednesday, everyone!! It's Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT Day! Today I have a cute little project to share, but first I want to let you all know who the winner of my Christmas Giveaway was!! Random.org choose.... {DRUMROLL}
Becky from Becky's Craft Place who said... "
This is so cute! I'm on a non-traditional color kick right now, so it's just the kind of inspiration I love!"
Congrats, Becky!! I left a comment on your blog so please email me! :)
Onto my project!
My 2 year old recently found a Bat Girl costume in a holiday magazine and has been obsessed!! I went through a blog hop the other day, and was totally inspired by a project done by Sandra over at 365 Days of Cricut. She made little Supermen for a Christmas tree. This sparked an idea that may become a yearly tradition at our house.
I used the Superhero Trio Cutting Files...
I put my own little girly spin on Batman...
I used the colors of the costume in the magazine as inspiration. The underside of Batgirl's cape is stamped with a lace background stamp by Pink BY Design, then heat embossed with gold powder. I made a bow from some tulle from the dollar store and black thread, then finished it up with some white details and a piece of new gold shimmer Twinery Twine.
This isn't only an ornament for our tree... the back side (which I should have also taken a picture of...) has the year along with Brittyn's Wish List for this Christmas on it. I'm either going to add it to her Christmas scrapbook layout, or put it in her baby book.
Make sure to stop over at the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog to see all the other great projects done by the DT!! I have seen a lot of them and they are awesome!!
