Snow Friend

Hi Everyone!!! Hope you all had a chance to check out the blog hop I was a part of on Sunday!! I will be announcing the winner of the embossing plate tomorrow, so make sure to check back then to see if it's YOU! :)

I have another very important reminder as well... Today is the very LAST day to apply for the Pink By Design DT!! Make sure you get your applications in, it's such a great team to be on!!

My project today was inspired by this photo over at Pretty Little Studio...

I love how this layout turned out, the colors worked so well...

The paper I used was from the DCWV Baby Boy stack.

I used the Small Banners stamp set from Pink By Design for this banner. I am soooo loving this set, I think I use it on almost every layout lately!! The word 'friend' was welded and cut from the Birthday Bash cartridge.    I made my own stick pin - also a new obession - and used some old snowflake embellishments to add some sparkle.

The little banner was cut by hand, and the sentiment came from the Scrappy Moms set Winter Wishes.

I cut this precious moments picture from a storybook I picked up from a thrift store for about 50 cents. I love how it turned out!!!

I am entering this layout into the Inspiration Challenge over at Pretty Little Studio and also linking it up in the Link Up Party over at Pink Cricut!! Make sure to head over there and check out all the great projects!!

I am also entering this into the Winter Wonderland Challenge over at Lawn Fawn.  This is the very first time I have participated in one of their challenges! Love finding great new challenges!!

Team Cute!!

Hey everyone!! I hope you all checked out my card on the Pink By Design blog yesterday!! Today I'm back with another layout! I have had the idea for this layout in my head for soooo long and I am relieved to finally get this idea onto paper! It took for Emma @ Creative Time to have a sports theme challenge for me to get it done!

I made these pompoms using Twine and a tutorial from The Twinery. It was pretty simple to do, but used quite a bit of twine. If you have the spools it's not a big deal, but I only had a sample pack of the pink.

The megaphone is cut from Twinkle Toes (love this adorable cart...). The original cut said "Cheer!" on it, but I used the hide feature on my gypsy to hide that. I used the font on Birthday Bash to add my own "Team Cute!" onto the megaphone. I also used Martha Stewart glitter glue for Hello Kitty's nose since I hate playing with tiny little cuts....

The 'B' was cut from Birthday Bash also, and the tickets are stamps from the Pink By Design Just the Ticket set and Big Thoughts. I also used various sentiments from the All Girl set to outline the white mat in the background so it wasn't so plain.

I hope you love this layout as much as I do!! Tomorrow I have another Pink By Design post, so make sure to come visit again!!

Cold Hands, Warm Hearts

Hi guys!!! So I am writing up this post as my "baby" is napping. If you haven't heard me mention this already, we live in Alberta, Canada. This time of year, it is usually anywhere from 14 degrees F down to -30 degrees F and there could be a couple feet of snow. THIS year, we have hardly ANY snow, and the temps have been around 41 degrees F somedays!! This has been amazing for us, since the winters can get soooo long, especially with little ones who get cooped up in the house. We have been having soooooo much fun these holidays! The other day we were out skating on a pond, and today - as soon as Brittyn wakes up - we're going outside to tobaggan since it's actually snowing today!

Here are some pics of our skating day the other day! I used to play college hockey and I put away my equipment once I started having kids. This was my first time in skates in a couple years - yikes! :) My husband is also a hockey player, so we're hoping that our girls like hockey - either that, or we have a baby boy! ;) (NO, I am not pregnant! :))

After doing all these outside activities, I was in the mood for a winter layout!!

These pics are from last winter...

I used EAD Designs' stickerz for this layout, along with Recollections paper.

The tags are cut from Birthday Bash, and the twine is from The Twinery.

I love these stickers, they are re-stickable!! I didn't like where they were at first, so I just gently peeled them off and put them in a better spot!!

Hope you liked my layout and that you are having great weather, wherever you are!!! :)

So many candles...

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! ***** (only need 42 more followers before I can give away my prize!! :))

Happy Saturday!!! It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and I am super excited for fun, family and FOOD!!! We're having Thanksgiving supper at our house this year, since not everyone has seen our new pad yet! I have to admit... I'm a little nervous... I am not much of a cook. It's a good thing my grandma, mom and aunt are already bringing half of the supper!!!

I have been working on soo many projects lately!! My oldest daughter, Bria, has really grown up lately. Now she'll sit at her table in my craft room and work on "projects" which gives me time to work on mine! She used to just destroy everything while she was in there... I am loving our special alone time while Brittyn naps. PLUS it means I can get twice as many projects done!!! I have a craft sale coming up towards the end of October so I have been working hard to build up my stock of cards. Can't wait to show you all that I have been working on!! :)

Onto my card...

I used Birthday Bash to cut the candles, then I inked them with Vintage Photo Distress ink and added some glossy accents. The paper came from a Fall stack by Recollections.

The sentiment came from the Pink By Design set Take The Cake. I added a couple brads and inked around the edges of the sentiment. I also embossed the brown background behind the candles with an argyle embossing folder.

I hope you like my quick little card!! I have a couple of neat projects coming up that I will show you in a couple days! Can't wait!!

EAD Designs Color Challenge

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****
Hi Everyone!!! It's MONDAY!!! And my little girl starts Playschool today!! So bittersweet.... I know she is going to love playing with all the kids. It'll be good for me and her. I'm still a little worried about her allergies while she is there, but I'm sure it will be fine.... Take a look at how excited she was this morning!!

Such a big girl...

My project today is using EAD Designs stickers. I have a lot of these stickers and I like them so much I couldn't bring myself to actually use them!! They're having a color challenge over at their blog right now (only a couple days left!!) and I just received these Halloween stickers from them so I thought I would use them to make something to help decorate our house for Halloween.

I made a framed picture to put up in the house. Bria hasn't seen it yet but I know she will love it.

I took the picture/mat out of the glass to get some pics without glare.
Along with the EAD stickers, I used a Peachy Keen dotted stamp and some orange ink to pattern the mat in the frame. I also used Birthday Bash and twine from the Pink By Design store to make a banner that says 'Happy'.

The haunted house, fence and tree in the scene all came from the Mini Monsters cartridge.

The black sky background paper is from a new Recollections Autumn stack. Love this paper. (If you want to see the rest of the paper in this stack, check out my haul video)

I am also entering this into the Link Up Party over at You Had me At Craft!!!

I hope you like!! I have another small project to show you tomorrow! I've been spending a lot of time in my craft room lately, and I'm realizing that I don't think I could EVER be sick of it in there!!!!

I ALSO wanted to remind everyone that TOMORROW the Girly Birthday Blog Hop starts here, in honor of my Birthday!!!! Great Prizes from EAD Designs as well as Pink By Design!! Don't miss it!!!

Princess In Training

HI!!!! It's been a long time! :) I decided to take a small breather from posting much this week since this past month was so crazy! My nephews have been here visiting as well so I have been enjoying time with all the kids and haven't done much crafting. I HAVE done some crafty shopping though... I was trying to make a haul video (my first video!!) last night but things were just not going my way... I can't find my tripod and the memory card in my camera decided to corrupt! Hopefully soon I can get a video of all my great findings for you guys!

It's Brittyn's very first birthday on the 9th so I made her up a card yesterday. Her birthday party is going to have a Baby Disney Princess theme.

I have only ever made a couple shape cards and I wanted to try one for the Peachy Keen Challenge this week. I got the card base from Birthday Bash. I embossed the cream layer with a dotted Cuttlebug folder. The Pink swirls in the background came from the Storybook cartridge. The cut was a square and I just glued it onto the cream circle and trimmed off the excess. The card base is misted with Pearl Glimmermist. In person it has such a beautiful shimmer to it. The baby was cut from Baby Steps, and her crown was from Once Upon A Princess. Her cute little face is from the Wide Eyed Kids set. I stamped her onesie with the medium dotted stamp by Peachy Keen. The scalloped oval for the sentiment was cut from Gypsy Wanderings and the 'Princess (in training)' was from a Scrappy Mom's set. The ribbon and bling are both from Michaels.

I hope you like!!! Brittyn really is a little princess so this card really suits her!!

I have a couple other pieces of news to share!! :) A couple weeks ago my layout was randomly picked as the winner of the EAD Designs Color Challenge!! I cannot wait to go shopping in their store, they have the cutest stickers!!!

I was also picked in the Top 5 for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday Challenge!!! I was soooo excited!! This is the first time I have been choosen based on talent, and not just a random pick!!!

Anyways, I hope to get back into my craft room soon! My sister in law is due to have a little baby girl any day and I need to get her a card and a bag!! PLUS both of my girls have birthdays within the next few weeks that I need to get ready for!! Whew! I have a lot to do! Better get at it! :) Have a great day!!!

Sweet Talker

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Happy Tuesday Guys!! I seriously cannot believe it's already the 26th of July... Time is FLYING by!! My baby is going to be a year old in two weeks, and I have barely even started on her party planning!!! I have a general idea, but haven't really gotten started. Plus, this weekend is going to be the big One Year Anniversary Party at Pink By Design!! (Make sure you're around for that, it's going to be soo much fun!!)

My layout today is for Brittyn's album. I wanted to make sure I did this page now, so that I don't forget all the words she is saying at this age. I love how this page turned out!!

I got this paper from WalMart the other day and I LOVE it!! It's by Momenta. I couldn't wait to work with it, the colors are awesome.

My FAVORITE things to make and stamp with cute little faces are ice cream, cupcakes and fruit!!! They are just so adorable!!

Here are the details of this layout...
- The ice cream sundae was cut from Sweet Treats @ 5", the cherry on top was embellished with Glossy Accents and the face was from the Peachy Keen Princess Faces set
- the cherries were cut from Hello Kitty Greetings @ 1.5" and stamped also with Peachy Keen Princess Face stamps. I glossed these with Glossy Accents as well (although you can't tell in the pic..)
- the banner was cut from the Birthday Bash cart @ 1.5", the twine was from The Twinery, the letters are stickers from my stash

SPLASH!!

Happy Saturday everyone!! SO did any of you guys catch the PBD Ustream last night?? I hope you did! AND I hope one of you won a prize!!

I have another layout for you today! I think I'm starting to gain some ground on the scrapbooking front! We're thinking of taking a trip so I want to get as caught up as I can since I know I will take a TON of pics on a vacation!!

This was from last summer... It was actually only a week or so before Bria became a big sister! I remember this SO clearly because I was trying to keep up with her in/out and racing around the pool when I was ready to POP! LOL

Cutest beach ball ever?? ;)

How I laid this page out was inspired by the Sketchy Thursdays Challenge this week. I also kept in mind a few other challenges when designing this: Wacky Wednesday @ More Than Favors, EAD's Color Challenge, and Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut! Wow - that's a lot of challenges! :)

Here are some details....
  • beach ball is from Sesame Street Seasons cut @ 2", her cute little face is from the Princess set by Peachy Keen - I also tryed a StazOn ink pad for the first time and was soooo impressed!! Until now I had only used the cheapy stamp pads from WalMArt. Never again!
  • 'Splash' title is from Create A Critter, cut at 2.25". The water splashes in it were embellished with Glossy Accents
  • I used Birthday Bash for the banners, cut at 2" and hung with red twine from The Twinery
  • journalling tag is cut from Gypsy Wanderings @ 4"
  • the big blue pearls are from K&Company
  • EK Success border punch
  • ribbon from Michaels
  • doodles with white gelly roll pen
And that's all!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! :)

You Rock!!

Hi paper lovers!! Have you ever heard of E.A.D Designs?? I am falling in love with their products... I have yet to own anything from their store (many of their stickers are on my growing wish list!) but I "window shop" on their website often. They have color challenges and anyone who plays gets 25% off any purchase from their store!! How awesome is that?!? I always want to create something so I can take part in their challenges but I've only been able to find the time to enter into two challenges. I'm showing you one of those projects today!

I love how this card turned out.... When I saw the colors for this challenge I couldn't wait to find the time to sit down and come up with a project. I had just bought the Complete Boy from My Mind's Eye stack from Michaels and there were tons of papers that fit awesome into the colors in this challenge. I've also been eyeing up this cute fox from Birthday Bash and he also fits right in with the choosen colors.

Here are the details...
- card is A2 sized, like almost all my cards
- fox is cut from Birthday Bash at 4", his cute little face is from the Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed Peachy Keen set (totally MAKES this fox!! thats why I love PK...) and I inked him with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo ink
- the 'you rock!' stamp is from Pink By Design Enjoy the Journey set (love, love, love this set)
- cream layer is inked with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo ink and embossed with Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder
- twine is from The Twinery
- button is from my stash
- doodles with white gelly roll pen

For the layout of this card I used the Sketch Challenge at Peachy Keen for inspiration. They are having an awesome giveaway with challenge - check it out! Unfortuntely it's only available to US residents because of shipping. :( I still liked the sketch so I thought I would play along anyway!

Have a great day!!

My Pink Stamper Challenges

Hi out there!! Quick post today! My husband gave me some 'me' time this morning before he leaves for the day so I got done my layout from yesterday and one more!! I am making them for all the challenges on My Pink Stamper for National Scrapbooking Day. She had such an awesome, fun day over there! I only wished I had more time so that I could enter all the challenges - there are some AWESOME prizes!!

Here's my first Layout... (sorry for the low quality pics... still waiting on my camera lens)

I'm trying to catch up on Brittyn's scrapbook! When I was doing Bria's scrapbook everyone told me I would be in trouble because I wouldn't have enough time to do such a detailed book with my second baby. I'm out to prove them wrong! :)

My favorite thing to stamp faces on is cupcakes!!! :)

Details (quickly!!)...
- 'Baby Cakes' title and 3 little cupcakes are cut from Once Upon A Princess - faces on cupcakes are from the Peachy Keen set Wide Eyed Kids, sprinkles on cupcakes are made with Pearl Dots, cupcake in title is embossed w/ Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder, sprinkles are Pearl Dots and candle is accented with Glossy Accents (my new favorite thing to use!!!)
- snetiment ('A moment in my tummy, a lifetime in my heart') is from Pink By Design
- purple twine from The Twinery, button & ribbon from my stash
- doodles with white Gelly Roll pen

This layout is going to be entered into Challenge #1 - Anything Cupcake

These pics are from the same photo shoot as the one in the LO above. Brittyn was not even a week old in these pics. So cute, right?? I can't believe she was ever that little.... *tear, tear*

Details...
- Kangaroo/baby, lots of love title and birdie banner are cut from Birthday Bash
- 'Welcome Baby' and 'When I count my blessings I count you twice' from My Pink Stamper
- doodles with black ZIG pen and white Gelly Roll Pen

This layout is going to be entered into Challenge #7 - Make A Scrapbook Page.

I am in the middle of another project that I'm hoping to finish during the kids' naptime... I may even get one more in before the deadline!! This would be a record for me lately!!! And I'm sick with two sick babies to boot! It's a good thing they are so happy just laying around today!!
