Peachy Keen Guest Designer!

Today I am a guest over at Peachy Keen and I feel so lucky to be able to share my projects there!

I have totally fallen in love with the January release and was fortunate enough to be able to play with a couple of the new sets. Since I have recently purchased and started learning how to use alcohol markers, I just had to color the adorable little tea pot from the January Stamp of the Month set.

I cut my tea pot out as well as three little tea cups.

To make sure my tea pot stood out and was the focus of my card (I know... How could it NOT be, it's so cute!!) I used a couple of pop dots to adhere it to my card.

The supplies I used on this card are...
- PKSC-25 Peachy Keen Stamp set
- Echo Park paper
- washi tape
- sequins
- Spectrum Noir markers

For my second project I created a fun little layout using the new Sweet On You face assortment stamps. These little faces are so popular right now and I have seen them used on so many super cute projects.

These faces look great on SO many different items and I thought one would make the cutest little lady bug!

I think the best part of these faces is being able to color the eyelids! So fun!

Here are the supplies I used to create this layout...
- Sweet on You Peachy Keen Face Assortment Stamp set
- Sweethearts Collection from Doodlebug Designs
- Jaded Blossom Fancy Treat Topper Die
- Cute Ladybug SVG from Miss Kate Cuttables
- Queen & Co bling

I hope I was able to inspire you with my projects today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Have a Hoppy Day!

Hey everyone! It's my day to post a project over on the Jaded Blossom blog!!
Since 2013 is coming to an end soon so it's time for new calendars!! I am putting together fun little packages as Christmas gifts for my daughter's teacher and helpers so I thought a new desk calendar would be a perfect idea!

I used a new file (available Friday) from SVG Cutting Files for the background of my calendar. This file also comes with an easel back option so your calendar can sit upright on a desk!

The Forest Friends stamp set by Jaded Blossom has the cutest animal sentiments to match my frog and bunny.

I used some graphics from Nancy Kubo that I printed, then cut, along with some fun cloud digital paper from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons, to make a cute little scene.

Here is what I used to make my calendar...
2014 Calendars from Jaded Blossom
- Calendar Shapes with Easel Back from SVG Cutting Files (available FRIDAY)
- Nancy Kubo graphics
- Cherry Cupcake and Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine

Thanks for stopping by!!

The Little Mermaid Straw

Hey everyone!! It's my day to post over at the Peachy Keen blog as a guest designer!!
If you follow my blog you know that in our house, there are princesses everywhere!! :) I don't complain though... I love them too!

We are heading to Disneyland (as you read this post!) and I wanted to make a fun straw for my youngest daughter to take with us! Since her favorite princess is Ariel I used a cute little mermaid cutting file from Miss Kate Cuttables and a fish from the Peachy Keen June 2013 Stamp Club kit.

I picked up some of these fun straws at a party store in a few different colors. They are soo much fun!! I can't wait to make more of these! They would be perfect for birthday parties!

Ariel's sweet little face came from the In the Garden Face Assortment set.

Here is what I used to make my straw...
- Mermaid from Miss Kate Cuttables
- Scalloped Circle from Silhouette Store
- Martha Stewart glitter
- paper straws
- Pebbles chalk

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

May All Your Wishes Come True!

Hey everyone!! It's my day to share a project for Jaded Blossom!!  So glad you have stopped by the blog today because I have a super cute card to share!!

My daughter recently had a Cinderella party so I just HAD to make her a princess card!

The Sweet Birthday Wishes stamp set had the perfect sentiment for this card... Actually... This stamp set has had "the perfect sentiment" for a lot of projects I have made lately! I guess that makes this set a must have!!

She got to wish upon a star the night before her birthday, and her wish was that Cinderella would come to her party! I have this card up in her room and she always talks about how her wish came true. :)

Here is what I used to make my card...

Hey everyone!! Welcome to the Pebbles Basics Blog Hop!!  The Pebbles team was challenged to create a project of their choice using the Pebbles Basics collection. We really wanted to show you just how versatile this line is...

I decided to create a card using the Cardmaking Pad, which is a stack of perfectly scored cardstock ready to fold and turn into a card!

I wanted to keep my card simple and pretty so I used a sheet of solid textured American Crafts cardstock behind my jar.

My FAVORITE way to give my projects an extra pop, is to use foam tabs to add some dimension to layers or die cuts. My finishing touch is a perfect little pink twine bow.

Here is a list of everything I used...
- Pebbles Basics Cardmaking Pad
- American Crafts twine
- My Creative Time Many Greetings Stamp Set
- sequins from Dollarstore
- Mason Jar die cut from Silhouette Store
- White gelly roll pen

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT Day!

Hey everyone!!! It's Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT Wednesday!!

My daughter, Brittyn, recently turned three and she is in love with Spider-man! (I really have no idea why...) Since I am having a joint Princess party for her and her sister in a week, I thought her "family" birthday party could be Spider-man themed! I made her a card and some cupcake toppers using the Superhero Trio files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

I printed my Spider-man out, then used my cameo to cut around him. I used some of my new washi tape from Trendy Twine to add a little 'edge' behind Spidey. My sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom Super Hero stamp set.

I cut a bunch of smaller Spideys to add to my toppers.

Here is what the final product was, but remember, I am a crafter and NOT a baker! :) I have no patience for cake/cupcake decorating!

Here is what I used to make my projects...
- Superhero Trio Cutting Files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons
- red chevron washi tape from Trendy Twine
- Super Hero stamps from Jaded Blossom

Make sure you head over to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog to check out all the other projects by the ladies on the DT!!

ScrapbookSteals Blog Hop!!

Hey there!! If you are here from Teresa's blog, then you are in the right place!! If you just stumbled upon this hop, make sure you head back to the beginning - ScrapbookSteals BLOG - to make sure you don't miss any of the awesome projects!!

The products we got to play with - American Crafts DIY Thickers - for this hop are soooo much fun!! The possibilities are endless!! I actually wanted to make a few more projects for this hop, but ran outta time!! I had so many ideas!!

My first project is a layout using family pics from this fall when our baby, Taylah, was born...

Just in case someone out there has never seen, or heard of, DIY Thickers before... They are adhesive on both sides so you can totally customize them!! I used Martha Stewart glitter on the letters in this layout, but you can use flock, coarse glitter, flowersoft... the list goes on! :)

Here is a little tip for using the letters.... They come in a long sheet, and I like to lay out my projects to see how everything will fit, so I cut each letter out so that I could easily figure out the best spot for them on my layout. Once I knew where they should go, I just peeled the backs off and stuck them to the paper.

Here is what I used to make my layout...
- American Crafts DIY Thickers
- Recollections Fabulous Girl stack
- My Creative Time We Are Family stamp set and doily and button dies
- Pink By Design Bracketful stamp set

I also made a quick card...

These Thickers are material chipboard letters and sooo fun!! I sprayed them with dark blue Ditto glimmer spray and they turned out really neat! They look like blue jean letters. I forgot to take a pic, but the inside of the card reads,"Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad".

For this card I used the following supplies...
- American Crafts DIY Thickers
- Ditto Glimmer spray
- file from the Silhouette store
- Pink By Design Our Fathers stamp set
