Almost Camping

Are you all as in love with the Happy Camper Collection as I am?! I have a feeling you are... The colors and designs in this collection are so stinkin' adorable!

This spring our family sold our trailer but the girls really wanted to go camping so their dad took them on a fun little trip to a fun little resort in the mountains. It wasn't the same as camping, but it was as close as we could get this year and they seemed pretty pleased with it!

The new Chippers have become a layout staple for me. They are the perfect size and I love the added dimension they give to projects.

In this collection there is a SUPER cute Mini Clothes Line that was the inspiration for my layout. I used the twine to make a little clothes line that I could also add photos to. The new Mini Clothespins worked so perfectly to hold the pictures.

I am so in love how this layout turned out and I found this collection so easy to work with. I can't wait to work on another layout with these adorable papers!

I Want Candy! Layout using Ghouls & Goodies from Doodlebug!

Hi everyone! Candace from Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses here to share a project today!

Halloween is coming!!! Yippee!! I'm not the biggest fan of the holiday, but I LOVE to make Halloween projects and layouts! My girls always want to be princesses so cross your fingers for me that this year I will have a cute little witch or goblin!

This year's Halloween collection is so super cute!! The Ghouls & Goodies collection has all the amazing stickers, patterned papers, Doodlepops, etc that all the great Doodlebug collections also have PLUS there are new products released recently that come in colors to coordinate with the collection.

As soon as I saw the new cute little character stickers and Doodlepops I knew I had to make a spooky little parade with them. Aren't they adorable?? I popped them all up with foam stickers to make them stand out.

Two of my FAV new Doodlebug products are the Chippers and the doilies in every Doodlebug color. I love how big the Chippers are and they stand our so well on layouts and the doilies are the perfect accent on every project.

The Chippers are chipboard alphabet stickers which means they are already sticky on the back, making them so convenient and easy to use.

I used random patterned papers from the matching 6x6 paper pad from this collection as well as some star dies to make my own little star border.

I hope you were inspired by the amazingly spooky and sweet Ghouls & Goodies collection!!

Hey Doodlebug friends!! Candace from Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses here! Today I am sharing a project created by the amazing Jodi Wilton. Like Jodi, I am in love with rainbows and I was completely inspired by her sequin rainbow on the layout below.

For more details on Jodi's great layout click HERE

I have been wanting to make clouds from the sprinkles vellum for so long! Of course I had to add a sweet little happy face stamp to one of the clouds since everything is more cute when it's smiling!

I used one of my all time favorite collections from Doodlebug, Springtime. The bright, fun colors in this collection are perfect for so many of my daughters' layouts.

I adhered a few butterflies on my layout using foam stickers to make them stand out.

If there is one crafty supply I am thankful for, it's all the great font stickers!! Making layout titles is so fun and easy with all the different colors and font styles.

And here is the best part...

Isn't is beautiful shimmery perfection?!  Doodlebug sequins come in so many great shades and finishes that it was super easy to find the perfect colors to match my layout. Love how this turned out. Thank you Jodi for the idea!!

Hey crafty friends! Our assignment was to choose one of the great Doodlebug colors and create a project with it. I chose Lilac since I have three little girls and I have a LOT of photos of girls in purple clothing. Plus, purple has always been my favorite color!

I loved these Fall pictures of my youngest cutie but since Lilac isn't a traditional Fall color, I added in touches of gold, brown and green. I used a couple of cute little doodlepops from the Happy Harvest collection. Have you ever seen a hedgehog with earrings?! In the scrapbooks in our house, all animals have earrings because we live in a girl world!

I'm still having a hard time using my gold glitter Sprinkles! They are so pretty and easily one of my favorite colors of Sprinkles

My new favorite Doodlebug supplies to play with are all the font stickers! I find them so easy to use to make creative titles on my layouts with.

I couldn't believe how many different patterned papers there are in each of the Doodlebug colors. It was so easy to pull together enough purple papers to make a great layout.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you were inspired by all the Lilac yumminess!

Birthday Girl!

Hey crafty friends!! Candace from Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses here today sharing a layout using Doodlebug's awesome chevron sugared cardstock. This cardstock is AMAZING!! Since it comes in all the great Doodlebug colors you can find a chevron to match any project you are working on! I am so in love with the Sugar Shoppe collection that I just had to use it along with matching chevron cardstock.

I am so in love with the pattern, texture and sparkle of this paper! I wanted to keep my layout very simple since the chevron is so great on its own.

So YUMMY, right?! It is the most beautiful, glittery paper I have ever seen (told you I was in love!).

I used some foam stickers on the back of my 'Birthday' stickers to make them stand out. I love how the grey title looked over the aqua chevron.

I made a fun cluster of elements in the corner in my layout using foam stickers of various thicknesses to create a lot of dimension and interest. Here is a side view, making the dimension easier to see:

I love that this cardstock can be incorporated into every single project! Make sure you take a peek at all the great colors it comes in.
Enjoy all the inspiration and great ideas the Doodlebug ladies have for you using this yummy cardstock!

Doodlebug Treat Bags

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing a couple cute little cards I made with the awesome Doodlebug treat bags. They are the perfect size to hold a gift card and I know a lot of families having babies right now so I dove head first into the Sugar & Spice and Snips & Snails Collections.

I love how quick and easy it is to pull cards together with some Doodlebug paper, embellishments and a couple of metal dies! These cards took no time at all.

I trimmed down the treat bags by cutting a bit off the top then dressed it up using a tag, paper bow (made using a die from My Creative Time) and some Doodlebug cardstock stickers.

I cut a piece of cardstock that would fit perfectly into the treat bag and used a gift card holder die (Jaded Blossom) to add the perfect spot to place a gift card.

To add dimension to my cards, I used foam stickers to adhere the stickers and treat bag.

The treat bags come in a variety of super fun colors and patterns that coordinate with tons of the Doodlebug collections

These treat bags are so fun and I can think of so many ways they can be used! My next project with them will be an advent calendar so stay tuned! Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have been inspired!

Many Thanks! Paper Smooches Challenge

Hey Friends!! I hope you all had a great time celebrating Canada Day and the 4th of July! We have had great weather here and have been loving being outside swimming, running through the sprinkler and all the other great perks that come with summer!!

I have had a little spare time lately so I have been playing a lot with my Paper Smooches stamps! I love their little images so much. They are so cute and super easy to either color or paper piece.

I colored all my little hampsters using Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut around them. I have been wanting to get myself some of the dies that coordinate with the stamps but have been waiting a Paper Smooches sale. I have a loooooong list of goodies in my shopping cart in their store so I'm chomping at the bit to place an order! :)

I used a sentiment from the Word Salad stamp set and added a couple Doodlebug enamel hearts and washi tape to accent. I also used one of the great border dies from My Creative time to create a scalloped edge on my patterned paper.

Here is what I used to create my card...
- Paper Smooches stamp sets: Word Salad & Party Posse
- My Creative Time: Fun Stitched Edges
- Doodlebug: Sprinkles & Washi Tape
- Echo Park digital paper
- Spectrum Noir markers

I am entering this card into the Anything Goes challenge over on the Paper Smooches blog!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Dude You are Awesome

Hey friends!! It has been a long time since I have posted a project on my blog that was not a design team project!! At this point I am a member of the Doodlebug Design Team and have one more month left on the Pebbles Inc Design Team. In the past few months I have had to cut down on my crafty responsibilities so I could devote more attention to my personal life. While I am really starting to miss the girls on the DTs, I am enjoying a bit of crafty freedom and able to create what and when it's fitting, with whatever supplies I choose.

For the past few months I haven't been in much of a crafting "mood" but these past few days I am loving being back in my craftroom. I have a few Paper Smooches stamp sets that I love but really haven't had the chance to play with so yesterday I sat down with them and got creative!

I am loving the little dinos in the Cuteasaurus stamp set!! They are so fun to color.

I used sentiments from a couple different sets to create one fun sentiment that would work great for a boy.

I used foam stickers to make the dino and the rocks stand out on the card.

I am entering this card over at this weeks SPARKS challenge over at Paper Smooches. I have a looooong wishlist over there and would love to snag a gift certificate!! Especially since the sneaks of the new releases look amazing!

Here is what I used to make my card...
- Paper Smooches Cuteasaurus stamp set
- Paper Smooches Word Salad stamp set
- Jaded Blossom Ticket Dies
- My Creative Time Border Dies

Fun With Doodlebug Vellum

Hey Doodlebug friends!! Candace from Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses here today. I know you have all seen the totally yummy polka dot sprinkled vellum from Doodlebug and I'm sure a lot of you even own some. I have a couple projects to share today using this super fun product!

The first project I wanted to share is a little treat box I decorated filled with skittles. I thought these would be great quick little gifts to brighten someone's day with.

These were super easy to make using some Doodlebug vellum, washi tape and stickers. I cut a long strip of vellum, wrapped it around my clear boxes and adhered the end using a couple small pieces of two sided tape. To add a little more detail, as well as to hold the sides of the vellum in place, I used some of Doodlebug's awesome thin washi tape

My second project is a layout using various colors of the vellum cut in scalloped circles using dies. I find using dies with vellum is a super easy, no fail way to add great detail and layers to a project.

Since the vellum comes in all the great Doodlebug colors it's so easy to find a color or shade to match every Doodlebug collection. I have been dying to use these great mix and match ice cream cones that are part of the Sugar Shoppe collection (my fav Doodlebug collection!) and since I wanted them to stand out on my layout, I choose to use plain white cardstock as my base and vellum to add layers.

Adhering vellum can sometimes be intimidating to some, including myself, so I choose to use regular ATG tape strategically placed on my vellum pieces to hide my tape. Since I was layering a lot of different pieces on my layout, I made sure to place my tape in a spot that would be covered with another element.

Isn't this vellum SO much fun? I can see myself adding a little to almost every project in the future (much like my Doodlebug sequins!).
