Pretty Princess Wall Hanging

Hello Everyone!! Happy Last Week Of March!! Spring is on its way here, although it's taking its sweet time!! It's been still snowing and blowing here which meant the roads are really bad, which ALSO means I missed out on the 50% off coupon at Michaels on Saturday. :( Oh well... It just meant more time at home for some projects! A friend of mine wanted me to make her a princess picture for her little girl's room. I've made one of these previously for my daughter's room but I thought I would change this one up a bit and add a spring feel to it. I love creating pictures! Pictures and gift bags are definitely my two favorite things to create at the moment! :)
Here's what I came up with:

Here are all the details....
- size of picture is 8"x10", frame is just a regular picture frame
- cut the blue base at 8"x10" and glued a white 8"x10" sheet on the backside just to make it less flimsy
- I cut 4 strips of grass from PaperDoll Dress-Up @ 4.55" - some of them are mirrored so that they all don't look the same. I inked around them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink and a cheap makeup sponge (from Dollarstore)
- the hill the castle is sitting on was cut by hand and inked the same way as the rest of the grass
- flowers on the grass are plastic Doodlebug embellishments with brads in the centers
- the princess was cut @ 4.5" from Once Upon A Princess cart, her face was from the Wide Eyed Kids Peachy Keen set. I colored her face with Gelly Roll pens (purple for eyelids, white for eyes, pink for tongue) and black ZIG pen (her mouth). Also a little pink chalk on her cheeks. Her hair was inked the same was as the grass. I embossed the pink layer on her dress with Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder and added some bling from the Dollarstore. Her crown came from Once Upon A Princess as well and I used my gypsy to size it correctly to fit her head (bling from the Dollarstore). Finished up her dress with a little faux stitching with my white Gelly Roll pen.
- The bird was cut @ 1.5" from Simply Charmed, glitter on it's belly was Martha Stewart (I love Martha Stweart glitter!!)
- Castle was cut @ 2.85" from Once Upon A Princess, added some doodles with white Gelly Roll
- rainbow was cut @ 1.44" from Simply Charmed. I also added some Martha Stweart Glitter
- clouds were cut at various sizes from Simply Charmed, embossed with Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder and inked with blue Martha Stewart ink.

Way cute! I actually saw the Once Upon a Princess cartridge at Michael's last night for $29! I almost got but didn't know how much I'd use it. I'm thinking I'd better go get it now. Ha!
