Oh Christmas Tree
Today is my day to post over at Pink By Design!!! I made a cute little Christmas tree from a foam cone and some cardstock!! Here is what my post over at Pink By Design reads....
Hope you all had a great weekend!!! Candace here from Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses. Today I have a Christmas project to share with you.
Supplies:
- foam cone (this one is 9")
- cardstock
- background stamp
- paper trimmer
- small pins
- lace
- bell
How to make:
Start off by choosing some cardstock - I choose my main color to be green and accents of red and this stamped cardstock I made myself. I took a plain sheet of cardstock, stamped it using the Distressed Music background stamp. I also spritzed it with gold Pearl Ex mixed with water in a spritzing bottle.
After spritzing and stamping the paper, I cut it into strips 3/4"x4" in size. I inked the edges of the music cardstock with Vintage Photo distress ink.
Cut the rest of the cardstock into strips as well, count on having twice as many main color (green) strips than the other colors.
Using pins, curl the strips in half without folding them and pin them into the styrafoam. Keep adding the strips in rows, making sure you alternate the strips so the ones on the upper row are placed over the space in between the teo strips underneath.
Continue adding the strips all the way to the top of the cone. At the top of the cone, add some lace around the top and a jingle bell on the very top.
These trees would look great in groups of 2 or three different sizes. I plan on making two more and putting them in the center of our table!
I also have some great news today!!! Kyle and Sarah have given all the design team members some gift certificates to give away! 'Tis the Season!! :) Here is what I would like you to do to be eligible to win a $20 gift certificate to the Pink By Design store:
- Leave a comment here
- Head on over to my blog www.scrappin2littleprincesses.blogspot.com and make sure you are a follower
- 'Like' Pink By Design on Facebook if you don't already
That's it!!!! I will choose a winner Tuesday night and the winner will be announced on my blog on Wednesday!!!! Good luck!!! :)

Another Link Up Party!
Hi everyone! I was doing some blog surfing this morning and came across another Link Up Party! This one is over at Robin's Creative Cottage. I love discovering new blogs as well as sharing my blog in link up parties. This morning I am linking up a piece of decor that I made for my house a week or so ago. I just love it.... Here are some pics...
I started with a plain white 'Z' from wal-mart and painted all the edges black.
Next I used the Pink By Design Damask background stamp and StazOn ink to stamp the Z.
I used black distress ink to ink around all the edges.
I added a embellishment to it and viola! :)
Here it is on display in my kitchen!!!
Can't wait to see what other inspiration lies in the link up party!! :)

I am so happy to be a part of this Peachy Keen blog hop!! And I am ALWAYS up for showing off my creations using PK stamps!! The newest stamps - Peachy Keen Kut Outs - now have matching dies available to purchase!!
Unfortunately, I didn't have dies when I used my scarecrow stamps but boy would they have come in handy! :) Check out my cute little scarecrows....
I am loving creating autumn layouts... Apparently I love taking autumn pics as well since I have about 300 pics of my family outside this fall!! (Guess it's a good thing I like working on fall layouts!!)
I used my Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Lite cartridge for some pretty leaves to accent this layout. Now for the best part...
Awwww.... aren't they cute?! I tried paper piecing these guys and I think it worked out pretty well!! I colored their straw with a yellow Glaze pen to give it a glossy, shiny look. I also used the scarecrow accessory set to add some little patches on their pants.
I hope you like my layout!! I definitely had fun putting it together!!
Make sure you leave comments at the blogs along the way since Peachy Keen will be drawing 3 winners. The winners will receive their choice of one (1) Peachy Keen Kut Out die and one (1) coordinating stamp set. Winners will be chosen amongst ALL comments left on all the blogs across the hop! Congrats ladies!!!!! I will be contacting you both soon for your addresses!!
Last week I had the opportunity to go shopping all by MYSELF for the day. Let me explain why this is such a big deal... I have a husband who works a LOT (has had one day off in the last 7 weeks) and we live 2 hours from the closest shopping center. The chances of me getting to go anywhere by myself are pretty slim, let alone a whole day in the city!! Anyways, without anyone holding me back, I got a lot of shopping done!! :)
Michaels had a great sale on... Almost everything I bought was 40 - 50% off, plus an extra 25%.
I'm working on organizing my scrap room, hence the cubes!! Now I just have to get them put together.... ;)
Lots of goodies! :)
Can never have too much bling!!!
I was in need of Christmas paper and when I got to Michaels and saw all the new Recollections stacks, I went a little crazy!!!! They are awesome!!
Also picked these up! That's a lot of paper! :) I wish some of you lived closer so you could come over and craft with me!!! Someday! :) Until then... I'll just be a lonely crafter!
I'm taking part in a Peachy Keen blog hop on Friday, so make sure to stop by then!!!!

Getting Cricky with K. Andrews Link Up Love Party
Hi craft friends!! I saw this link up party in a group I belong to on Facebook and I jumped at the opportunity to participate! I have been in one before and found a lot of neat blogs!! If you have never been a part of a link up party, here is your chance! You will find a ton of great inspiration in these blogs! K.Andrews has this party monthly and she even has prizes for a couple lucky participants! :) For the rules, head on over to Getting Cricky with K. Andrews!
The theme of this party was to post our favorite projects with the theme of Thanks/Blessings. Since I am Canadian, we had our Thanksgiving a while ago. I made this awesome project to help decorate my home for the occasion.
I glittered these tiny pumpkins, added some bows and made the place mat using cardstock and a Pink By Design Distressed Wood background stamp.
For more details on how I made this project check out THIS post!
Hope you liked my pumpkins!! :) Happy Thanksgiving to all you Americans!!
Now head on over to Gettin' Cricky blog for the rules and then add your blog below!!! Have fun!!

Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust
Hi!! Hope you are having an awesome weekend! I created this layout for the My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge. The challenge was to use a children's themed cartridge. I have been wanting to scrap pics of Bria meeting the fairies at DisneyWorld in September.
I was soooo in love with how this layout was turning out until I added the finishing touch... Tinkerbell. I have yet to cut out a Fairy from this cart that ended up looking good. They are just too detailed.... I can never get the face to look right! Guess next time I'll have to make sure there is room to make the cut LARGE.
I used a sentiment from the Princess stamp set by Scrappy Mom's.
The paper on this layout was from the Vicki B. set by BoBunny. I added a lot of Recollections rhinestones all over the layout to give it sparkle.
I wanted to make sure there was a place for journalling on this layout because I wanted to do some writing about how cute it was when Bria met Tink. She talked to Tink like they were BFF's... it was adorable. I didn't have room for a lot of writing on this layout so I raised this pic up on pop dots and added a self-made envelope onto the back of the pic so that I could slide a jounalling sheet in behind the pic. I added a piece of ribbon to use to pull the tag out of the envelope.
This is what the tag looks like when it's pulled out.
Hope you like my layout - other than my ugly Tinkerbell cut! :) Maybe I'll take that off... hmmm...
Have a great day!!

SO Thankful
Hi crafty friends!!! There is SNOW here this morning, lots of it! I hate snow... but today it put me in the mood for Christmas! I bought my daughter a CD of Christmas songs yesterday so that's playing in our house today! I usually don't get into the Christmas spirit until the first of December, but I got 1/2 my Christmas shopping done yesterday so I'm in the mood already! :) I also went a little crazy with the sale that was on in Michaels yesterday.... I'm going to do a haul video to show you soon! Onto the layout that I teased you with last night!!!!
I was inspired by the sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen, as well as my win from their blog hop not too long ago. I won the scarecrow stamps and accessories! Talk about a great win!!!!
Of course I used my new journaling tags from Pink by Design on here too! I think these stamps are going to be a part of every layout!!! My 'Thankful' title was cut from Storybook cricut cartridge.
So for the first time ever, I tried paper piecing! I love how this cute little scarecrow turned out!!! Isn't she cute?! I used mostly Recollections paper on this layout... I also used Recollections pearls, Michaels ribbon, glaze pend to color the straw, and more ribbon from my stash.
I also have some other things I want to share with you! First of all, I know I need to announce some winners!! I'm hoping to announce these to you either later on today or else tomorrow - depending on how the rest of my day goes!
There is a GREAT sale going on over at Pink by Design that is still going on today!!! Make sure to check it out, a lot of sets are on sale PLUS shipping is only $0.11!!! Gotta love that!! Especially those of us who are out of the US!!!

There is going to be some amazing inspiration over there for the month of December!!! There are still spots open on this DT if you are interested, she's looking for 50-60 members!! I would love for some of my crafty friends to be on the team with me! Check it out! :)
Hope you all have a great long weekend, I'll be back tomorrow with another layout!!!!

In the Glittery Garden
Hello!!!! How is everyone doing?? Are you Americans gearing up for Black Friday? Even though we don't have Black Friday here in Canada I still get excited for it! I love seeing all of your haul videos, and hearing stories about all the awesome deals you got!! There is actually a great deal at Micheals in Canada this weekend too so I think I may make the trip to the city to do some shopping. My husband may have half a day off tomorrow so I'm hoping he'll stay home with the kids so I can have a break (I really need one!) and get some Christmas shopping done. Yes - I am already Christmas shopping! I think I start earlier every year!
Anyways, I have another layout today!!! Yep, on a roll! I know! :) I really like this layout because it's summery!! I get a little down in the long, cold winter months up here so I like to remind myself that before we know it, summer will be here again! :)
I actually made this layout based on a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays, but didn't get around to posting it in time to make the challenge! :( Oh well.... Next time! :) I'm going to get it into the Wacky Wednesday Challenge over at my friend Paula's page (More than Favors!!)
I used my new Journalling stamp set from Pink By Design for this layout - actually, I've used this set on every layout since I got them!! Talk about a must have set! The butterflies and paper are from the DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies stack. I made the felt flowers myself and as soon as I plan on making a video showing how I made this! Hopefully coming soon!
I titled this laytout "In the Glittery Garden" after a book that I read my girls all the time. It was actually the first book my daughter Bria ever got!
I added rhinestones to all the embellishments to add some sparkle to the page. I hope you like it!!! I have another layout to share as well, just have to put a couple finishing touches on it tonight and hopefully will have the post up tomorrow! Have a great Thursday!!! Especially to those of you who start your weekend tonight! :)

Hi! Hi! Hi! :) Welcome to the Hello Kitty Blog Hop! Make sure you don't miss a blog today - there are some super talented crafters sharing what I'm sure are going to be great projects!! This hop is a 2 days, so you have plenty of time to get through all of the blogs. Make sure you comment on them all since there is going to be a great prize at the end! :)
If you've arrived here from Theresa's blog you're on the right track! If you're stopping by my blog today and want to start at the beginning, please visit Emily's blog.
I love Hello Kitty so much!! She's just soooo adorable!! I have been wanting to do this layout with this Hello Kitty cut since this spring but finally got around to it for this hop.
Isn't her coat just too adorable?? I wish I had the same one for my girls! :)
I had to add this stamp on this layout. This winter was sooo long in Alberta, that we REALLY did celebrate the sunshine once it arrived!! This stamp is from the Enjoy the Journey set by Pink By Design.
Since this blog hop is all about Hello Kitty, I thought I would also share my daughter, Brittyn's, Hello Kitty room...
There are still some bare walls in there now that need to be attended to when I get time... (There ARE window coverings now though!) Her bedding also matches but I don't have a pic of that. :( I love her room, wish I could live in there! :)
I also have some blog candy to give away!!
Some of the YUMMY twine from The Twinery that I used on this layout! Please make sure you are a follower of my blog and that you leave a comment letting me know how to contact you!!!
