so much LOVE!!

I'm back again - 2nd post of the day!!!!! My hubby had the day off today and it's raining so all his yardwork is on hold again!! Yay for me!! That means I get to sneak into my craft room while he plays with the girls! :)

I was looking at the Pink By Design Community this morning and I was totally inspired by their current challenge. If you haven't yet, you really need to head over there to check out the message boards!! AND the newest challenge!! Here is what I came up with...

Not very often can I say I LOVE how my layouts turn out, but I am soooo happy with this one! It could have something to do with the picture, it's my fav picture of all time!!!

I cut out the flowers on with my Cricut and then stamped them with sentiments, then inked the edges for a vintage print look.

Details...
- flowers are cut from Cindy Loo. I only cut 2 layers of the flower, the biggest layer and the small black flower on the inside. Then I stamped them using the All Girl set from Pink By Design, inked the edges using a makeup sponge and regular black ink and added a pearl in the center
- the swirly background square was cut from the Storybook cartridge
- the 'so much love' tag was cut with my paper trimmer and then I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the edge. The sentiment was from the Big Thoughts set by Pink By Design
- pearls, ribbon and paper from Michaels

Hope you like!! I love this pic.... Check out the Challenge on the Pink By Design blog!! Great Prizes being given away!!

Celebrate Sunshine!!

Hi Guys!! What an awesome weekend!! Yesterday I got to watch one of my great friends get married to an awesome guy! Even though it rained on their outdoor wedding, it was a great day and night!

The Challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut this week has inspired me to scrap some pics of Bria from last summer...

This layout AND these pics of Bria are so much more cute in person... for some reason in this pic it makes her look a little pale and sickly...

Loving the 'Mambi' stack by Me & My Big Ideas!! Awesome colors and patterns! Love the foil papers (like the green paper above)!

  • paper is from Mambi stack by Me & My Big Ideas

You Make Me Smile :)

Hi! Three posts in a row! Wow, I'm on fire! ;) Things are back to smooth sailing around here so I've been lucky enough to get a couple layouts done!! These pics are from last summer...

Thanks to Lauren, from Lauren's Creative, I have figured out how to heat emboss perfectly! I used to use a embossing ink pad and it didn't really seem to work very well... Now I use my Versamark watermark pad and it works awesome!!

  • Paper is from the DCWV Playtime stack (love that it's printed on kraft!!)
  • white fence is (cut at 2" and welded together) from the Paper Doll Dressup cartridge and embossed with my Distressed Stripes Cuttlebbug folder
  • 'You make me Smile' sentiment is from the Pink By Design set Enjoy the Journey (LOVE this set!!!) and embossed with white powder. Tags are cut from Gypsy Wanderings
  •  buttons and flowers from my stash
  • pearls are Recollections from Michaels
  • twine from The Twinery
  • stitching with my white gelly roll pen
That's all!! Hope to be back with another layout tomorrow!! :) Have a great day!!

It's my day to post over at the Pink By Design Blog. Head over there to check out a little tip I have for making multiple invites!!

I made this invite for a Bachelorette Party for a friend of mine. After all the Father's Day cards and my husband's birthday, I was more than ready to make something GIRLY!!

Here are some details...

- purse is cut at 2.75" from the Paisley cartridge
- tag is cut from Sweet Treats, sentiment is from the All Girl Pink By Design set, I inked around the tag using regular black ink
- party detail stamps on the inside are from the Party Time set by Pink By Design
- ribbon and pearls are from the Dollarstore
- white background layer is embossed with the Paisley Cuttlebug folder
- Twine from The Twinery

I hope you like my invite! :) And I have my fingers crossed I'm going to be back with regular posts now that things have settled down (knock on wood!!)!!
