Apple Of My Eye

Hi!! So Sarah over at Pink Cricut is having a little Sew Easy Link Up Party! I thought I would dust mine off and give it a try - since I've only ever used it once. I got a sewing machine for my birthday and now I kind of turn my nose up at my sew easy... :( Anyways, here is my layout...

I used a K&Company stack by K&Company (Carolyn Griffith?) as well as some regular kraft cardstock. I also used some Peachy Keen faces (Happy Lashes) and a Pink By Design stamp (1st smile). The journalling card was a stamp I have had forever... not sure of the brand. I used my sew easy for a touch of stitching and also my white gelly roll pen for faux stitching.

My title didn't stand out very well so I outlined it using a red Glaze pen (by Sakura).  I cut these apples from Create A Critter.

My buttons are basic grey and I used regular hemp cord for the bows.

I hope you like this layout!! I can't believe these pics are from over a year ago already!!! Time sure flies!!

Back tomorrow with another layout!!

Hey Everyone!! It's my post day over at Pink By Design Stamps!! I decided to to a little tutorial on how to make easel cards. If you want to check it out HERE is the link!!

I made a set of easel cards using the Kitchen Puns stamp set by Pink By Design as well as paper from the DCWV stack, Nana's Kitchen. I also used the Love You a Latte cart (LOVE!!). Here is my set...

These are how the cards look when they are closed.

And here's how the cards look when they are standing up.

AND here are a few close-up so you can see them better...

I used the Love you a Latte cart for this card, as well as the Princess set of Peachy Keen stamps.

On this card I used the Love You a Latte cart as well and added some fine glitter as icing. I also used some pink crinkle ribbon from the Pink By Design store.

I used a doily from the dollarstore, twine from Pink By Design and a Recollections pearl from Michaels.

I hope you like!!! Be sure to check out my post over at Pink By Design!!

PS - I'll be back later today to announce the winners of the prizes from my blog hop last week!!!!

We heart FALL!

Hey everyone!! Just a little project today along with some pics from a little fall photo shoot I did with my girls yesterday...

While we were in Florida my mom looked after our house and animals for us so we brought her back a Pandora charm as a thank you. I thought I would break open my Forever Young cart and try making a little purse gift bag for the charm.

It's very simple, but I think it's pretty. The paper I used was from the Garden Stack by DCWV. I used a Recollections brad and some cream ribbon to add some details.

And here are my favorite pics from our Fall photo shoot! I hope I get to scrap these right away... I have lots of ideas!!

Hope you enjoyed my post today!

Candace's Favorite THINGS post!!

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Hi everyone!!! First off I wanted to thank everyone for all the birthday wishes yesterday!! It was a great day!! I even got a new little sewing machine to use in my craft room! Look out Martha Stewart!! LOL My daughter is home sick from Playschool (and it's only the second day!!!) so I doubt I'll get to do much crafting today so I thought I would do something a little different in this post! Who here misses Oprah?? I know I do... and I will miss her favorite things show this Christmas!! I decided to put a little Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses spin on Oprah's favorite things show! I'm going to list my Top Ten Crafting MUST-Haves for me!!!! These are things that I use the most, and wouldn't be able to craft without!! I'm going to start off by saying that my Cricut and Gypsy are obvious ones, so I won't include those. Onto the LIST!!

#10. Scotch ATG gun - Of course it's the pink one! Once I got a case of replacement rolls from The Tape Depot for cheap I started using this baby on EVERY project!!

#9. Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Vintage Photo & Frayed Burlap) - using this on edges of papers and die cuts with a cheap makeup sponge from the dollarstore can totally take a project to the next level!!

#8. ZIG 2 Way Glue Pen - I started using my Cricut a LOT more once I discovered these babies! I can't believe I used to use a GLUE STICK to put all my cricut cuts together! Messy!!

#7. Fiskars Paper trimmer - This one is a little obvious... But honestly, there was a time when I scrapbooked just by using scissors and "eye balling" everything!!

#6. Pearl embellishments - My FAVORITE embellishment!! It adds such a "rich" look to projects and you can get them super cheap from the dollarstore and Michaels sales.

#5. Kraft cardstock - Thanks to Lauren at Lauren's Creative, this has become a staple in a lot of projects. I love how it's subtle, but still adds that little something that's missing sometimes. Add some white faux stitching is like the cherry on top!! :)

#4. Sizzix Texture Boutique & Embossing folders (Divine Swirls) - Another great investment!!! I am in love with adding texture to certain layers in a cricut cut. It can make a paper look so FANCY!!

#3. Peachy Keen Face stamps - SOOOOOO Cute!!! I have been going through a phase lately and my PK faces have been collecting a bit of dust but once I have been itching to get them out and "peachifying" everything again!! I love a plain jane cut can become ADORABLE by stamping a little face on it!! These are sooo addicting!

#2. White Gelly Roll Pen - I think I can also give Lauren from Lauren's Creative credit for this addiction (can you tell she's my IDOL??? :)) I would love to add white stitching and doodles to everything if I had the time!!!

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST..... (drumroll please!!)

#1. Pink By Design stamps
First off, I want to make something clear!! These are NOT #1 on my list because I am a part of their DT (OR because I am being a brown noser!!!)!!! I do not love these stamps because I'm on their DT - I am on their DT because I love their stamps. I honestly LOVE these stamps, and I have since I discovered them! There is RARELY a project that I do that doesn't have a PBD stamp on it somewhere. My collection of PBD are where I get inspiration for a lot of my projects!! These are my ultimate addiction!!

I hope you enjoyed my list of favorite things!!! Please also remember that I have a blog hop going on right now with a lot of great prizes being given away!!

GIRLY BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP!!!!

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

HELLO Everyone!!! I am SO happy you have decided to hop along with all my friends and I!! This is my first time ever hosting a blog hop and I am SUPER excited!! It's also my birthday today! I would normally never make a big deal out of my own Birthday but as I have gotten older I'm learning a few things.... Sometimes being a mother means we do everything for everyone else, and rarely anything for ourselves. After doing some work on myself these past 6 months I have come to the realization that in making sure we take care of ourselves, we are better able to care for others. That being said, I am giving myself the gift of the company of many fellow bloggers who love crafting as much as I do!

**Feel free to comment on post but the collection for the prizes is closed**

Onto the Hop!!! We have two amazing companies who have agreed to sponsor our hop today...

Who have offered up a $15 gift certificate to their store for one lucky hopper!!!

And EAD Designs....

Who have offered up a $20 gift certificate to their store to another lucky hopper!!!

To be eligible for these two prizes, please make sure to leave a comment on all the blogs in the hop!! You have until Thursday the 22nd at midnight to leave your comments. I'll choose two random winners and announce them shortly after the hop is over!!

Now onto the project! :)

The theme of the hop is GIRLY!! If you follow my blog at all, you know I love all things girly. Which worked out well, since I had two little girls! :)

My craft room is super bare at the moment so I wanted to make something to help add some character to my walls. I used a shadow box that I picked up from Ikea for about $8.

I used some paper from the Gabrielle collection by BoBunny to cover the mat of the frame. I used some felt flowers that I made and combined them with some Pink By Design stamps (Bingo set) and some Recollections pearls and little plastic roses to dress up the 'Adore' title.

The cameo as the main feature is a vinyl rub-on from the EAD Designs Cameo Frames set. I added some little pearls to the rub-on for a little dimension and detail.

I also added some lace along the side (that I picked up at a thrift store) and some more homemade felt flowers and Recollections accents.

EAD Designs Color Challenge

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****
Hi Everyone!!! It's MONDAY!!! And my little girl starts Playschool today!! So bittersweet.... I know she is going to love playing with all the kids. It'll be good for me and her. I'm still a little worried about her allergies while she is there, but I'm sure it will be fine.... Take a look at how excited she was this morning!!

Such a big girl...

My project today is using EAD Designs stickers. I have a lot of these stickers and I like them so much I couldn't bring myself to actually use them!! They're having a color challenge over at their blog right now (only a couple days left!!) and I just received these Halloween stickers from them so I thought I would use them to make something to help decorate our house for Halloween.

I made a framed picture to put up in the house. Bria hasn't seen it yet but I know she will love it.

I took the picture/mat out of the glass to get some pics without glare.
Along with the EAD stickers, I used a Peachy Keen dotted stamp and some orange ink to pattern the mat in the frame. I also used Birthday Bash and twine from the Pink By Design store to make a banner that says 'Happy'.

The haunted house, fence and tree in the scene all came from the Mini Monsters cartridge.

The black sky background paper is from a new Recollections Autumn stack. Love this paper. (If you want to see the rest of the paper in this stack, check out my haul video)

I am also entering this into the Link Up Party over at You Had me At Craft!!!

I hope you like!! I have another small project to show you tomorrow! I've been spending a lot of time in my craft room lately, and I'm realizing that I don't think I could EVER be sick of it in there!!!!

I ALSO wanted to remind everyone that TOMORROW the Girly Birthday Blog Hop starts here, in honor of my Birthday!!!! Great Prizes from EAD Designs as well as Pink By Design!! Don't miss it!!!
